Quackery: The deliberate misrepresentation of the ability of a substance, a device, or a person to prevent or treat disease.

Since the beginning of commerce offers of Miracle cures and questionable methods were abundant. Human nature seeks out hope and it also finds ways to fill that need for hope that don’t always work out so well.

  1. This is true: a liniment called snake oil was attacked by the US govt, not because it didn’t work – it did, actually – but because it contained no snake oil!

  2. nice choise for this weeks letter….. although those things never do good to anyone… what i dislike the most of it that very much people get mislead and disappointed at the cost of a lot of money
